Examinations,
Assessments and Tests Using Print & Scan
The
latest version of Print & Scan now has the ability to
scan Master Answer Sheets for those undertaking multiple-choice
questionnaires/tests or examinations using paper based OMR technology.
This option adds a powerful tool to the Print & Scan
system whereby administrators may now send blank answer sheets,
in a previously agreed format, out to lecturers or tutors who can
then complete the form by filling in the correct answers to the
questions asked. These are then returned to the administrator who
simply loads up the exam or test being taken and then scans the
form data into the system. Print & Scan will automatically
record the correct answers to the questions from the Master Sheet
and when participant questionnaire forms are returned they can be
scanned and marked by the system automatically. Both graphical and
numerical analysis including individual marks, percentages, degree
of difficulty and question spread are held by the system and structured
queries utilising both And/Or arguments can be used for a more detailed
breakdown of information.
A variety
of question types can be undertaken by the system because of its
flexible form design features. These include True/False, 1 from
A,B,C or D, Extended Matching, 1 from up to ten responses, marking
of short written answers, multiple responses to a single question,
e.g. Select from a list of drugs the correct drug and/or drugs to
administer to a patient with a known condition etc. and may be individually
or randomly selected for an exam/assessment by the administrator.
If using our Image system this can be extended further to include
answer ordering whereby students can enter the right order sequence
to the question asked.
For
those who wish to grade students or keep track of a students progress
then the Student Performance Monitoring option allows lists of names
for each tutor group to be printed and the data retrieved can be
used to undertake longitudinal performance related monitoring over
a pre defined period.
The
system is already supplied with a number of previously designed
templates so that users can produce examination forms almost immediately.
